This week Trey represented a client who was charged for failing to stop for a red light which resulted in an accident. Trey was able to secure a dismissal of the charge upon completion of driving school. This prevented any points from going onto our clients driving record.

Reckless Driving 71/45 Dismissed

Today, in Richmond, Trey was able to successfully obtain another dismissal of a reckless driving charge. This particular client was charged with reckless driving, for traveling 26 mph over the speed limit. With his clean driving record and completion of RADEP, the judge waived the fine and dismissed the charge. This prevented any points from going onto our clients driving record and avoided a misdemeanor conviction.

Reckless Driving 89/55 Reduced to Improper Driving

In Virginia, anything 20 mph over the speed limit is considered reckless driving and is classified as a class 1 misdemeanor. This individual was stopped for traveling 34 mph over the posted speed limit.  A conviction would have added a class 1 misdemeanor to his criminal record and 6 points to our clients driving record. Those points would have stayed there for 11 years! Trey was able successfully secure a reduction to improper driving, avoiding the misdemeanor conviction. This only added 3 point to our clients record and will only stay there for 3 years.
