Reckless Driving 86/70 Dismissed

This Mattox Law client was charged with reckless driving for traveling 86 mph in a 70 mph zone. Hanover is definitely one of the tougher courts in Virginia. Knowing this, Trey advised our client to complete an 8-hour driving school and to have her vehicle's speedometer calibrated. It turns out our clients speedometer was actually off in her favor! Having a favorable speedometer calibration and the driving school certificate in hand on the court date allowed Trey to secure a dismissal of the charge. This prevented any points from going on to our clients driving record and avoided the class 1 misdemeanor
