Reckless Driving 89/70 Reduced to Non-Moving Violation

On a recent case in Greensville, Virginia a Mattox Law client was charged with reckless driving for traveling 89 miles per hour in a 70 mile per hour zone.  If convicted as charged, this offense carries a standard fine of $250 as well as a 30 day license suspension.  Mr. Mattox was able to secure an outcome resulting the charge being reduced to a non-moving violation, defective equipment.  This reduction prevented any points from going on the clients driving record and avoided the misdemeanor conviction.  Trey was also able to get the fine reduced to $75.00 with no license suspension.
