Reckless Driving 102/70 Reduced to Speeding

Today, in Caroline County, Trey represented a client charged with reckless driving for traveling 102 in a 70 mile per hour zone.  This is an offense that carries a standard fine well over $1,000, a 6 month license suspension, and typically several days in jail.  Trey was able to successfully obtain an outcome resulting in a reduction of the reckless driving charge to simple speeding.  By avoiding the reckless driving class 1 misdemeanor conviction, the client was able to keep his government contract job and security clearance in the Army reserves.  Additionally, Trey was able to have the fine reduced to $250 and avoid a license suspension.
